Lucas Olscamp
Meet Lucas (he/they) artist, co-founder, and executive artistic director of Tooth n’ Fang. Lucas is a settler-born Canadian from Epekwitk (PEI) and current educator at Pearson College UWC; traditional land of the Sc’ianew (Beecher Bay) First Nation.
He is a hybrid designer / director / dramaturg / visual artist with an interest in cultivating grotesque and queer ecologies through transdisciplinary approaches to artmaking. Lucas is interested in creating monsters; living, breathing, crawling artistic creations who push the limits, defy creative binaries, and resist categorizations. He believes in making work that challenges both the artist and the form while empowering the entanglement of the two.
Alejandro Mora
Meet Alejandro (he/him), a founding member and co-artistic director for Tooth n’ Fang projects including A Chorus of Immortal Toxins, ORO, Monkey Mom, ANAEMIA, and Blood n’ Butter. Alejandro is a multidisciplinary artist centring his creative work in writing, audio design, and performance. He graduated from New York University Abu Dhabi and now resides deep within the rainy jungles of Costa Rica.
Alejandro’s work is dedicated to speaking truth to the beauty of the world around him. He creates work in order to honour and celebrate the magic and marvels of the universe, and through creation find both solace and discovery. Much like wandering the jungle terrain, he explores the raw, dark, and mysterious corners of the world, and his work, like him, is compelling and unafraid. Alejandro is interested in making work that is honest, broken, and humble.
